  • The Gathered Tour Lagos is designed for thoughtful collectors, creatives, designers, tastemakers, and culturally curious travelers who value meaningful experiences over traditional sightseeing. Whether you're an established collector or simply looking to deepen your appreciation for African and diasporan African art, design, and culture, this journey is for those who enjoy learning, thoughtful conversation, authentic access, and are passionate about surrounding themselves with meaningful objects that carry deep stories, rich craftsmanship, and a lasting sense of place.

  • The reservation deadline is September 15, 2026. All payments must be received in full by September 15, 2026.

  • To reserve and secure your place, a 50% non-refundable deposit of $3,625 is required at the time of booking. You can make that payment via the ‘pay deposit’ button at the bottom of this page.

    After your deposit has been received, your dedicated concierge will reach out to discuss your preferred payment schedule. You may complete your remaining balance with one final payment of $3,625 or two installments of $1,812.50 each. All outstanding balances must be paid in full by Tuesday, September 15, 2026.

  • Once your reservation is confirmed, you'll be paired with a dedicated Rare Aura Travel Concierge who will guide you through every step leading up to departure. We'll send you a welcome form and a scheduling link to arrange your onboarding call, where we'll get to know you a little better, discuss your preferred departure airport, flight preferences, room preferences, dietary needs, and answer any questions you may have.

    From there, we'll curate flight options based on your preferences and book them on your behalf, provide visa guidance, share travel insurance options if desired, coordinate your arrival into Lagos, and thoughtfully prepare every detail so your journey feels seamless from the moment you leave home.

  • Due to the exclusive nature of this experience and the advance commitments required with our hotels, partners, and venues, all deposits are non-refundable. Depending on when a cancellation occurs, additional cancellation fees may apply. We understand that plans can change, whether due to family, work, or unforeseen circumstances. Every hotel, restaurant, gallery, studio, and venue has been carefully selected, and all scheduled transportation is arranged in advance, allowing you to focus on the experience rather than navigating the city independently.

    For additional peace of mind, we strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance.   • Most international travelers, including U.S. citizens, will need a valid passport and visa to enter Nigeria. Your passport should be valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates. Our team will provide visa guidance and helpful resources throughout the planning process, though guests are responsible for obtaining the necessary travel documents prior to departure.

  • Guests will stay at S.EA Experience, our thoughtfully selected boutique hotel in Lekki Phase 1. Should additional rooms be needed, some guests may be accommodated at Lala's Lagos, a boutique property located nearby. Both hotels have been carefully selected for their exceptional hospitality, thoughtful design, and convenient access to the week's experiences, ensuring every guest enjoys the same elevated standard of comfort throughout the journey.

  • Private transportation is included throughout all scheduled experiences, including your airport transfers and daily programming. We'll handle the logistics so you can simply relax and enjoy the journey.

    If you'd like to explore during your leisure time, your Rare Aura Travel Concierge will be happy to arrange additional personal transportation at your own expense.

  • Yes. Many of the galleries, artist studios, exhibitions, and design spaces we visit offer opportunities to acquire artwork, furniture, textiles, ceramics, and other meaningful objects. All guests will also have access to knowledgeable guidance from your host, Ogechi, throughout the experience.

  • If you purchase artwork, furniture, or other design pieces during the experience, our team can introduce you to trusted shipping and logistics partners who specialize in international freight.
