ABOUT
My name is Ogechi Harry. I founded Golden Our, a lifestyle advisory brand focused on intentional collecting that celebrates stories from the African Diaspora.
Born in Nigeria and raised in Atlanta, I have always been obsessed with art. My childhood was full of arts and culture. From leading a traditional Igbo dance troop to studying AP Studio Art, my happy place has always been filled with creativity inspired by my Nigerian heritage. Golden Our was born out of the desire to rediscover this happy place and visit it often by seeing more diverse stories in commercial and collector spaces.
Inspired by the 2 most sacred hours of the day, sunrise and sunset, Golden Our is an advisory services firm inviting private collectors and interior designers to re-imagine the creative cultural landscape and discover Black creative excellence through thoughtfully curated art, design, and objects. I hope to empower collectors and designers to inspire their spaces with joy and a sense of placemaking while bridging the art equity gap.
Meet us for dinner at sunset.

GOLDEN GLO
an intimate art dinner series
As an independent art advisor specializing in Black art, there are 3 major pain points collectors seeking to celebrate stories from the Diaspora often share with me:
Social media is overwhelming and often too surface, how else can I get introduced to Black artists and learn more about their work and their stories?
There are so many market trends, what are some basic collecting principles I can use to build my collection?
How do I meet other serious-minded collectors like myself in my city that I can learn and grow with?
Golden Glo is a quarterly intimate art dinner series for art collectors taking place at sunset and is the perfect curated resolution to these pain points:
A full course meal by a local Black chef
Introduction to new artists and artisans
Meaningful conversations with like-minded collectors
Collecting principles and guidelines
Opportunities to build connections with a community of local collectors
Hope to see you soon.

APPROACH
I am an attorney with 15 years of work experience in the built environment. After working at a major law and other top international institutions for many years, I realized that it is more important to chase purpose and passion than paper.
Being based in Chicago, a city with historically deep arts and culture roots, I am surrounded by a vibrant international art community. Facilitating the drafting of the Arts and Culture strategy for Mayor Lightfoot’s Administration and serving on the Board of the Chicago Public Art Group, a 50+ year old public arts non-profit organization, taught me just how uniquely important Chicago is to the global art market.
My advisory approach reflects my professional experience as a transactional lawyer. I provide strategic art advisory and guidance at the intersection of culture, design, diligence, and intention so that clients build heirloom worthy collections of joy.
I also love a good ke-ke over spicy pineapple margaritas.
